Hold on a minute Kyle Orton...You may have some competition!

Turmoil in Denver! He said...He said...Pout and Out! Everybody spin it your way so you don't look like a J- - - - - - s! too late ...
But hold on just a minute!
Late breaking news for Bronco Land...July training camp is now declared open and I represent a couple of local candidates with much un-discovered potential.

They are doing wind sprints and sit ups as we speak to get into game shape before training camp..
Stay tuned for a special announcement later today on another more important subject...

think ....Minnesota...hmmmmmmmmmmm..
I am out!

"Under Construction"

If the blog postings are few and far between...it could be because we are very busy.
Currently we are tackling these projects:
  • Cut down live oak tree that was buckling neighbors fence
  • Replace our existing fence with a new wooden one
  • Tear out wood deck and bridge and replace with flagstone patio
  • Replace hail damaged roof

I got tired typing the list! Our landscaper Miguel and team began the demolition yesterday and made good progress....They also un-lodged our resident opossum....and relocated it to another location...not sure of where, but they told us that although it is eaten in Mexico...the American ones do not taste good as they "eat too much dirt"....("Coma la tierra")

Will keep you all in the loop as work progresses.

I'm out

Feel Better...Pugs!

I have not been in the blog-o-sphere for a while....No big issue but not much to say so I stayed on the DL.
Recent news is that Chris is recovering from surgery that he had last week....
He is home and doing well, but has been hurting really bad since Wednesday. He feels better every day.
He will be fine..he is young and strong and has a high threshold for pain... He is now bored with laying around his apartment watching TV...
He goes back to work tomorrow...so there is the "end of being bored"...
Feel better Chris and do not try to do too much too soon!
We love you and miss you and are praying for a fast, fast recovery...

Happy Valentines Day....Dianne!

Dianne believes that Valentines Day is a "Hallmark Holiday"...something contrived by greeting card, candy and floral retailers and manufacturers...I do not disagree...but here is my public declaration of my love for my wife....today and always....
Thank you for being my wife. Thank you for loving me like you do.
Thank you for being such a good mom and grandma..
Thank you for being the glue that holds our family together...
I love you Dianne...Always have...Always will....

Lights? What Lights?

Sorry that recent postings have few words, but I am spending a lot of time working on the images and that leaves little time for me to type.
Dianne and I are busy as usual. We had Chris here last weekend to visit and watch the Super Bowl. It was really a good time for all. Seeing one of the kids at a time is great, but it makes us miss everyone all the more.
When we are all together in heaven, we won't have spots of light surrounded by darkness, but eternal light that is the presence of the Lord that will illuminate forever.....

Only 181 days left!

Super Bowl this Week!

Good News and Bad News...
First the good news! We love the Super Bowl extravaganza...Pre-game hype; commercials, eating all day; the game....good or bad it is still the Super Bowl! A National Holiday!
This year Chris is flying onto S.A. for the weekend and the game and we will have a great time. We have not watched a Super Bowl together since the Broncos first Super Bowl win 10 years ago!
I can hardly wait!!! Brisket! Chips and Dips! PS2 tournament....etc...
Now the bad news!
No more football until camp starts in July!
By my reckoning that is about 181 days......that is like the "Chisolm Trail...A long way with no water"....
I may just go into hibernation like Tom's bear until them....
I'm out...sniffff.....

Got to Love Holiday Air Travel

Well we are back in tropical San Antonio after a short trip to Ohio for Christmas to see Des, Mike and the girlz. It was not cold at all while we were there! The sun even came out on Saturday as the temp hit a balmy 55 degrees. But air travel was still dicey during the holidays. Dianne and I had 3 of 8 legs cancelled because of "mechanical" problems. This delayed me getting to Ohio by one day and Dianne had to fly into Pittsburgh and have the kids pick her up, making her first leg be 13 hours late.

Our return flight was cancelled also so we spent another day in Ohio with the girlz.

Des and Mike's house is really awesome! They did a great job in design, planning, construction and of course decorating. As in all new homes it is a work in progress...as our is 18 months after we moved in here.

The girlz were a lot of fun for us. They are growing up quickly, but we got to savor every minute with them. They are very animated and creative and really seem to love both of us as we are.

We are trying to get back in the groove since we got back. But we his a few roadblocks...I caught a cold and am still fighting it...Dianne's BMW blew the trani....stay tuned as by next week she may have a new ride!
One of our newest toys was a web cam gift from Des and Mike. I got it set up and last nite we "Skyped" with the Braley's. Our first attempt at web conferencing...IT WORKED! and it was great to see the boyz in almost real person...

I have some new fictional characters to draw...."The Wankler Girz" inspired by someone you may know...

More later...That's it for now...time for more Nyquil...zzzzzzzzzzzz
