We are celebrating Dianne's 47th birthday this weekend in an atypical fashion. We have been blessed by the company of Ryan, Katie, Baby Bump, Logan and Gavin this week. The best present that Dianne can ever receive is to be surrounded by our children and grandchildren.
We have had a lot of fun this week with the boyz! They are very lively and smart...AND well behaved!
Logan is a computer whiz at age 4.5 and Gavin in a gregarious "Chirper" who never stops....I wish I had their energy!
But today is about Dianne... She really does not like to call attention to herself on her birthday so I am on thin ice here!
Dianne is the epitome of the Proverbs 31 women. She ALWAYS puts everyone else first!.
Me, the kids, grand kids, family and friends too.
I know why married men live longer than single men...For me it is because Dianne does so much for me...She makes sure that I eat right, rest, take my medicine, dress appropriately, etc...etc...etc...
She manages all aspects of our household and keeps everything humming efficiently... Married life is good...
Scripture calls out these characteristics in Proverbs 31:10-31
Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands. She is like the merchants’ ships; she bringeth her food from afar. She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens. She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard. She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms. She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night. She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff. She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy. She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet. She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.
Dianne is the evangelist in our family. She will seek out the hurting and tell them about Jesus at any and all times... Her relationship with the Lord is her top priority....and that is just one of her many qualities.
I am blessed to have her as my wife....
